The SL400 is a basic Class 2 Sound Level Meter with simple data capture for measuring sound levels in the work place, the construction site and around the home.
The SL400 from Trotec is a Class 2 meter for determining general environmental and background noise volumes. (e.g. measuring noise on the boundary of a property)
Depending on the requirements you can use the fast/slow time weighing feature of this professional measuring device to switch over from measuring once per second (slow) to once every 125 milliseconds (fast). Moreover, the SL400 allows for a separate weighing of type A and type C frequencies. While the A frequency corresponds to the sound pressure perception of the human ear, the C frequency focusses low-frequency components of a sound.
The four-digit measuring value display of the SL400 with an additional bar graph indicator can easily be read in every environment thanks to the LCD background illumination.
Compared with the SL300 model, the SL400 has a simple data record function which can record the LA measurements and download them to a Windows PC.
NOTE: Many noise standards that exist in NZ uses the LEQ recorded values. The SL400 does not feature this as it is not an integrated meter. See the Pulsar Nova, Quantifier or Assessor models for these values.
Calibration test certificate is optional on the SL400 upon request.
