Trotec BG40 Gas Leak Detector
The BG40 from Trotec is a simple and easy gas leakage detector for finding combustible gases such as natural gas, methane, ethane and propane.
This device is ideal for the basic everyday qualitative assessment of products that include of gas cartridges, LPG containers, gas pipelines and general fittings.
This compact hand-held measuring device registers even the smallest of gas leaks in less than two seconds – and with a sensitivity level of <10 ppm.
The BG40 alerts the user to minor gas concentrations via a visual and acoustic alarm signal, with the addition of a vibration alert.
By increasing the frequency and volume adjustment, the acoustic alarm signal indicates a growing intensity of the escaping gas.
Poor access to where the leak may be occurring? A flexible tubular probe with a length of 40 cm, permits the detection and identification of a leak in hard to access or confined space.
The BG40 features an easy to view LCD, which displays the measured ppm values, with a backlit option to make viewing in unfavourable lighting conditions optimal. Also indicated on the LCD is the lower explosive limit in % (often abbreviated as LEL); this defines the minimum gas concentration in the air at which an explosion is possible.
Technical Data of the BG40:
